Sandy “Pants” Berger Second Stint
According to the Miami Examiner article, “He’s back: Sandy Berger now advising Hillary Clinton” Sandy Berger is advising Hillary Clinton.
Sandy Berger was the National Security Advisor to President Bill Clinton.
During the 911 investigations Berger stole original classified documents from the national archives by stuffing them in his socks, pants, who knows where else and then destroyed them. Because they were uninventoried and originals we will never know the content of the documents or the extent of the information lost. Because of this crime Berger is charged with a misdemeanor and loses his security clearance until September, 2008.
Lucky for Berger he wasn’t an “evil” Republican. If his name was Halderman, Colson, Liddy or Ehrlichman he would have been charged with a felony and spent some time in jail. But no! Since he was working a cover-up for a Democrat he gets a pass and a slap on the wrist. From the article, “At his sentencing in September 2005, Berger was fined $50,000, placed on probation for two years and stripped of his security clearance for three years.”
Now, for his loyalty, he will be rewarded with a position in Clinton’s campaign. Business as usual for the Clintons.
