The Privileged Class
Charlie Rangle is guilty of a number of violations of City, State, Federal laws and Congressional rules. Yet, he still retains Chairmanship of the House Way and Means Committee.
Charlie’s committee writes tax law.
Charlie is a member of the Privileged Class and the rules that we are held accountable to do not apply to him.
His Violations:
1) Fails to report over $1 Million in outside income and $3 million in business deals required by United States House Of Representatives financial disclosure rules.
2) Failed to list $650,000 in assets as required by United States House Of Representatives financial disclosure rules.
3) Failed to report $75,000 in rental income to the IRS.
4) Uses Congressional Letterhead to solicit donations for a educational center bearing his nave at the City College of New York. A violation of House rules.
5) Violates State Law by claiming three primary residences.
6) Breaks New York City regulations by maintaining four rent-controlled apartments.
7) Delinquent in paying New Jersey property tax on two properties.
8) Fails to report the sale of a $1.3 million Brownstone.
Don’t try this at home folks, Charlie is a trained professional, a member of the Privileged Class. He can get away with it.
You, on the other hand, would surely go to jail.
