Hamas - Getting What It Deserves
How long is Israel supposed to put up with Hamas’ rocket attacks? What would Russia do if they were attacked time and time again by terrorists outside of its border? How would the United States react if San Antonio was attacked by rocket fire from terrorists in Mexico? You know what would happen!
They would react exactly as Israel has.
According to the Jerusalem Post, A year’s intel gathering yields ‘alpha hits’, IAF attacked 50 targets which included Hamas bases, training camps, headquarters and offices. “The goal: to strike at Hamas’s ability to fire rockets into Israel.”
By placing their rockets in densely populated areas Hamas in essence, hides behind women’s skirts and little children. This way when they are attacked the civilian casualties can be used for Hamas propaganda. Then the world sides with the aggressor, Hamas and in “lockstep” immediately condemns Israel for its actions. Why can every other country on the face of the globe defend themselves except, Israel?
In my mind Israel was justified and swift action against Hamas was long overdue.
Easily one of the most important stories of 2008 has been all the evidence suggesting that this may be looked back on as the year when there was a turning point in the great worldwide panic over man-made global warming. Just when politicians in Europe and America have been adopting the most costly and damaging measures politicians have ever proposed, to combat this supposed menace, the tide has turned in three significant respects.
First, all over the world, temperatures have been dropping in a way wholly unpredicted by all those computer models which have been used as the main drivers of the scare. Last winter, as temperatures plummeted, many parts of the world had snowfalls on a scale not seen for decades. This winter, with the whole of Canada and half the US under snow, looks likely to be even worse. After several years flatlining, global temperatures have dropped sharply enough to cancel out much of their net rise in the 20th century
Secondly, 2008 was the year when any pretence that there was a “scientific consensus” in favour of man-made global warming collapsed. At long last, as in the Manhattan Declaration last March, hundreds of proper scientists, including many of the world’s most eminent climate experts, have been rallying to pour scorn on that “consensus” which was only a politically engineered artefact, based on ever more blatantly manipulated data and computer models programmed to produce no more than convenient fictions.
Thirdly, as banks collapsed and the global economy plunged into its worst recession for decades, harsh reality at last began to break in on those self-deluding dreams which have for so long possessed almost every politician in the western world. As we saw in this month’s Poznan conference, when 10,000 politicians, officials and “environmentalists” gathered to plan next year’s “son of Kyoto” treaty in Copenhagen, panicking politicians are waking up to the fact that the world can no longer afford all those quixotic schemes for “combating climate change” with which they were so happy to indulge themselves in more comfortable times.
Suddenly it has become rather less appealing that we should divert trillions of dollars, pounds and euros into the fantasy that we could reduce emissions of carbon dioxide by 80 per cent. All those grandiose projects for “emissions trading”, “carbon capture”, building tens of thousands more useless wind turbines, switching vast areas of farmland from producing food to “biofuels”, are being exposed as no more than enormously damaging and futile gestures, costing astronomic sums we no longer possess.
Instead of Merry Christmas, happy holidays can be heard all across the nation. How sad for a nation that, as George Washington said, was “created by Divine Providence.”
For myself and my family this is the Christmas season where we celebrate the birth of Christ Jesus, the Anointed One of God, the Prince of Peace, the Rose of Sharon, the Savior of the World, the Son of God.
Christmas can be celebrated in the school room with pine trees, tinsel and reindeers, but there must be no mention of the man whose birthday is being celebrated. One wonders how a teacher would answer if a student asked why it was called Christmas.
“It was once wrong to use community groups such as ACORN to steal an election.” Herb London
Well not anymore! The late, great United States. Once a Constitutional Republic, goverened by the rule of law and statesmen that truly represented the people, is sliding into a socialist democracy where politicians steal their way into office.
Mark Perry has links to the actual documents. If you want to do some heavy reading click on the link. Frankly, I think the picture speaks for itself.
Complying to 22 Pounds of documents and UAW extortion amounts to $2000.00 addition cost for every vehicle that leaves a UAW controlled factory.
I was a member of the UAW for a period of time and from what I saw Union Dues just bought lots of trips to Atlantic City for the leaders of the Local UAW Union.
The lesson for Republicans from his triumph is to return to Ronald Reagan’s basics. “And that is Republicans stand for, smaller government, fiscal responsibility, more individual rights and freedoms, and lower taxes. And we’ve got to get back to those fundamentals,” Chambliss said on Fox News Channel. “That’s what we talked about on the campaign trail and, obviously, it resonated with our constituents here.”
The reason I have considered myself an orphan, the country club Republicans think that moving toward the Democrats will win more votes. Wrong!
Congressman Louie Gohmert from Texas has a great idea for a Economic Stimulus package. A 2 month tax holiday where you keep your entire paycheck. No Income Tax, FICA or Medicare deducted from your pay check.
This is a GREAT idea! Contact your Congressional Representative and urge them to support this bill. If every American called, wrote, e-mailed their representative and asked that they support this effort they would have to get it done. We need new ideas. Not the old worn out ideas of the past. This is fresh and it would work.
He stated, “By instating a temporary tax holiday, we could electrify the American economy and provide overwhelming relief to taxpayers, all for less than the cost of the current failed Paulson-Pelosi bailout system.”
“We need to give this money to the people who earned it. I am sick of Washington millionaires trying to decide which of their cronies should get the next wad of taxpayer money,” Rep. Louie Gohmert continued. “Think about how much you would have if you didn’t have any social security or income tax withheld from your pay check, or if you didn’t have to pay those taxes for January and February! Americans could take and invest their own money where they believe it should go - to paying down mortgages, buying a new car, making credit card payments. The economy would get relief where it is needed the most. Why try to decide how to prevent foreclosures? Just give taxpayers their own money to catch up on their payments. Those in lower income brackets who are hit the hardest by the FICA tax would see huge money back, and then THEY could choose who should benefit from their hard earned money. Even the self-employed and small business owners would receive a fantastic amount of their own much-needed money, and they will be able to invest that back into their businesses and even create the ability to hire more people.”
Gohmert is currently preparing a bill to declare the tax holiday for January and February of 2009 and is also gathering support at the same time. He said, “We can save more home mortgages, increase employment, and boost economic growth for a lower price tag with this plan than with any centralized bureaucratic program, all by giving the power back to the taxpayers. I am demanding that not another penny goes to executive bailouts, but these billions of taxpayer dollars should go to the taxpayers who earned them.”
Today is Lou Rawls birthday. When I was a young man Lou Rawls was playing on every juke box and radio station in town. He was an incredible talent and truly enjoyed his craft. This is Lou at his best…
The Democrat and Republicans In Name Only, (RINO)s, have lost touch with the American People. They have become the political elite and We the People have become "fly-over country." I am not a Nazi, a terrorist, a member of the KKK, a racist, or a member of an angry mob. I'm not a birther, teabagger, truther or astroturfer. I do, however believe in the original intent of the Founding Fathers, the United States Constituton and the rule of law. I believe that Government should serve the People, not the other way around. I’m an American and conservative to my very core.
