Now consider the likely possibility of an Obama presidency, a filibuster-proof Senate and two or three openings on the Supreme Court that he can fill with fellow redistributionists.
Obama should lose this election because Americans wake from their trance, look over the precipice to which he has ushered them, and recoil.
Seventy years is a long time for a nation to wander from the principles and practices that brought it forth and made it great: limited government, individual liberty, individual initiative rewarded and the right of every citizen to assign the fruits of his own labors as he sees fit.
Obama has run a stealth campaign, because the left suspects that it hasn’t succeeded in separating us entirely from those principles. An Obama victory would sever the connection, though. He has slipped twice, and told us so.
If Americans take the monumental risk Obama poses, they will deserve the government they get. More to the point, they will have proved undeserving of the government left to them by far greater, far wiser men.
This should chill you to the bone. Barack Obama plans some kind of national security force as powerful as the United States Military.
Is it possible that he is looking for “jackbooted thugs” to enforce all the policies he plans for America? Policies like seizing your firearms, imposing martial law, suspending the United States Constitution, seizing your 401K accounts, nationalizing industries, confiscating your wealth, confiscating your property, perhaps declaring himself “President for Life?”
After all, he says he is going to create a new kind of America. Is this the kind of change he is talking about?
Apparently unaware that 49% of America’s electricity is generated by coal Barack Obama demonstrates his own “bankruptcy” of ideas.
Let me sort of describe my overall policy.
What I’ve said is that we would put a cap and trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else’s out there.
I was the first to call for a 100% auction on the cap and trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted down caps that are being placed, imposed every year.
So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can. It’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.
That will also generate billions of dollars that we can invest in solar, wind, biodiesel and other alternative energy approaches.
The only thing I’ve said with respect to coal, I haven’t been some coal booster. What I have said is that for us to take coal off the table as a ideological matter as opposed to saying if technology allows us to use coal in a clean way, we should pursue it.
So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can.
The Democrat and Republicans In Name Only, (RINO)s, have lost touch with the American People. They have become the political elite and We the People have become "fly-over country." I am not a Nazi, a terrorist, a member of the KKK, a racist, or a member of an angry mob. I'm not a birther, teabagger, truther or astroturfer. I do, however believe in the original intent of the Founding Fathers, the United States Constituton and the rule of law. I believe that Government should serve the People, not the other way around. I’m an American and conservative to my very core.
