Obama - Oppose Higher Taxes, You’re Selfish
From ABC News Political Punch - Obama’s New Attack on Those Who Don’t Want Higher Taxes: ‘Selfishness’
The point is, though, that—and it’s not just charity, it’s not just that I want to help the middle class and working people who are trying to get in the middle class—it’s that when we actually make sure that everybody’s got a shot – when young people can all go to college, when everybody’s got decent health care, when everybody’s got a little more money at the end of the month – then guess what? Everybody starts spending that money, they decide maybe I can afford a new car, maybe I can afford a computer for my child. They can buy the products and services that businesses are selling and everybody is better off. All boats rise. That’s what happened in the 1990s, that’s what we need to restore. And that’s what I’m gonna do as president of the United States of America.
“John McCain and Sarah Palin they call this socialistic,” Obama continued. “You know I don’t know when, when they decided they wanted to make a virtue out of selfishness.”
In the mind of a Marxist, capitalism is described as an economy based on “selfishness.”
Barack Obama reveals his hand once again.
So if your “in the tank” for Obama you get treated A LOT differently than if you are not.
There is a pattern of behavior here that is disturbing. If you play nice and ask nice little questions and stay on the talking points everything is A OK. If you deviate from the softball questions , don’t stay on the talking points the Obama campaign organization start saying, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, I don’t know who is writing your questions.”
Or! If your news organization just happens to endorse the other side….. YOUR OUT!
“You know, if you look at the victories and failures of the civil-rights movement, and its litigation strategy in the court, I think where it succeeded was to vest formal rights in previously dispossessed peoples. So that I would now have the right to vote, I would now be able to sit at a lunch counter and order and as long as I could pay for it, I’d be okay, but the Supreme Court never entered into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society.
And uh, to that extent, as radical as I think people tried to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution — at least as it’s been interpreted, and Warren Court interpreted it in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties: [It] says what the states can’t do to you, says what the federal government can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf.
And that hasn’t shifted, and one of the, I think, the tragedies of the civil-rights movement was because the civil-rights movement became so court-focused, uh, I think that there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change. And in some ways we still suffer from that.”
A caller then helpfully asks: “The gentleman made the point that the Warren Court wasn’t terribly radical. My question is (with economic changes)… my question is, is it too late for that kind of reparative work, economically, and is that the appropriate place for reparative economic work to change place?”
Obama replies:
“You know, I’m not optimistic about bringing about major redistributive change through the courts. The institution just isn’t structured that way. [snip] You start getting into all sorts of separation of powers issues, you know, in terms of the court monitoring or engaging in a process that essentially is administrative and takes a lot of time. You know, the court is just not very good at it, and politically, it’s just very hard to legitimize opinions from the court in that regard.
So I think that, although you can craft theoretical justifications for it, legally, you know, I think any three of us sitting here could come up with a rationale for bringing about economic change through the courts.”
With a campaign financed from untold numbers of unverified donors, is it possible that the Barack Obama campaign has spent, in total, close to 1 Billion dollars?
“To each according to his abilities to each according to his needs, that’s from Karl Marx,”
“How is Senator Obama not a Marxist if he intends to spread the wealth around?”
Hard Hitting Questions from Orlando WFTV produces an angry response from Biden. No softball questions here. Biden is in total disbelief, “I don’t know who is writing your questions”
Hey Joe, you just got the equivalent of Sarah Palin’s interview with ABC’s Charlie Gibson. These are questions that should have been asked by everyone in the Lame Stream Media long ago. Barbara West of WFTV has earned some real respect.
“This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election,” wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign.
I wonder when the personal attacks against Barbara West will begin?
Heard on the Rush Limbaugh’s radio show, Rush called Obama’s economic plan “trickle up poverty.”
This is what happens when you sieze the wealth from the producers and give it to the non producers. Spreading the wealth around equals “trickle up poverty,” think about it.
Take Cuba as a historical example. perhaps an extream example but I am going to use it. Castro siezed power and confiscated by force all property in Cuba. The producers who could get out did and it left a nation of non producers that depended on the state for their existance. Compare Cuba in the 1950’s to Cuba today and there is a stark difference. This is the direction we will be heading when Obama’s economic plan kicks in.
Joe needs a modern translation. The title should translate “Get ready to rumble,” for the next President “A Herculean task is before us.”
“And we are going to do things that are unpopular and you aren’t going to like it”
Ahh… a Biblical and Mythological reference in a few broken sentences. Joe Biden’s mind is a wonder to behold.
Just think, this guy could be a heartbeat away from the Presidency. That’s some scary scary stuff.
“Gird your loins,” Biden told the crowd. “We’re gonna win with your help, God willing, we’re gonna win, but this is not gonna be an easy ride. This president, the next president, is gonna be left with the most significant task. It’s like cleaning the Augean stables, man. This is more than just, this is more than – think about it, literally, think about it – this is more than just a capital crisis, this is more than just markets. This is a systemic problem we have with this economy.”
“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
“Say it isn’t so, Joe.” does he mean the world is going to test Obama because he is inexperienced? Here’s a thought, Joe. Maybe you would want someone in office that that the world would NOT test!
Are the Democrats going to “generate” a crisis to make it look like he has what it takes or worse, a generated crisis to further restrict our liberties and freedom? Perhaps invoking martial law and suspending the United States Constitution.
What else did Joe say?
“we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”
“There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, ‘Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don’t know about that decision’,” Biden continued. “Because if you think the decision is sound when they’re made, which I believe you will when they’re made, they’re not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they’re popular, they’re probably not sound.”
Barack Obama tells a group of “Community Organizers” (cough, cough, ACORN) that they will help set the agenda of the Obama Administration. Obama’s comments are around 2:05 of the video.
The Democrat and Republicans In Name Only, (RINO)s, have lost touch with the American People. They have become the political elite and We the People have become "fly-over country." I am not a Nazi, a terrorist, a member of the KKK, a racist, or a member of an angry mob. I'm not a birther, teabagger, truther or astroturfer. I do, however believe in the original intent of the Founding Fathers, the United States Constituton and the rule of law. I believe that Government should serve the People, not the other way around. I’m an American and conservative to my very core.
