Quote of the Day

The Lessons of History Lost, Repeated

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world?s greatest civilizations has been 200 years. Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage

Alexander Fraser Tytler, Professor of Universal History, University of Edinburgh

(Editor’s Note)

The United States is a Constitutional Republic, governed by The Constitution and the Rule of Law. Trash The Constitution, ignore the Rule of Law and we risk our very destruction.

To quote Dr. Ben Franklin, “We’ve given you a Republic, if you can keep it.”

Obama, ‘I go shooting all the time’

From The Telegraph by Jon Swaine, Barack Obama: ‘I go shooting all the time’

President Barack Obama has claimed that he goes shooting “all the time”, while attempting to reassure American gun-owners that he respects their rights to use firearms.

Oh Yeah Mr. President, we want to believe you but!

What difference does it make?

Quote of the Day

Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people?s liberty teeth and keystone under independence ? from the hour the Pilgrims landed to the present day, events, occurrences and tendencies prove that to ensure peace security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable ? the very atmosphere of firearms anywhere restrains evil interference ? they deserve a place of honor with all that?s good.

Happy Birthday Rush Limbaugh

image

I have been listening to Rush Limbaugh since his first week on the Air. Today is his 62nd Birthday. Even though I have never met him, as a fellow conservative I consider him a friend. 2012 was his best year on the air yet and I don’t think 2013 is going to be a disappointment either.

Happy Birthday Rush Limbaugh! May you have many more.
